On September 16th 1997, Maria Callas dies in her Parisian apartment. From that moment, she becomes a myth, whose controversial existence has been cast in the light of world wide fame as well as in the shadows of a complex and troublesome private life.
The show is an imaginary journey, rendered through a series of flash backs which will lead the audience to some of the most significant moments of the artist’s life. The anonymous narrator will deliver an intimate portray of the woman, her artistic identity and the complexity of her relationship to her family, to her mother, to her lovers.
