The International Week of Italian Cuisine is an annual event primed to celebrate Italy’s incredibly varied regional cuisine and food traditions with a wide array of events promoting culinary culture and flavours to millions of consumers worldwide.
The Week takes place under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it is organized by the entire network of Italian Embassies and Italian Cultural Institutes around the world in collaboration with all the Italian Trade Agencies, Italian Chambers of Commerce, the Accademia della Cucina Italiana, as well as top Italian restaurants, chefs, wine distributors and producers, all of whom are true ambassadors of Italian gastronomic excellence abroad.
The rich programme of the events includes thematic menus, gala dinners, seminars, food and wine tastings as well as film screenings illustrating how Italian food has become part of the history of cinema.
With Italy ranking first in Europe in quality certified food products and being the world’s top wine producer, the International Week of Italian Cuisine is a well deserved occasion to celebrate the richness and excellence of Italy’s culinary traditions.
