Public Space Design - Talk

Presentation by Lorenzo Petrillo of LopeLab about the unique experience of Urban Ventures in Singapore. What are public spaces? Why is it important that we reclaim that?

Lorenzo Petrillo is a designer and community driver. In 2015, Perillo started his own design consultancy studio, LOPELAB, marrying urban structures and social ideas for a more enjoyable and sustainable city.

He Launched the “Urban Ventures” project that aims to provide a more human, playful and friendly face to our streets and other public spaces in our city. This non-commercial project comprises of a series of monthly road closures event where artists and designers are invited to re-interpret street elements and fill the road with interactive installations.

Performing and visual artists will also come together during the event to showcase their works through performances and workshops.
